Jack Lang, the French Minister of Culture initiated the idea of celebrating the Music day in the year 1981. The music day was originated in France in 1982 and has been celebrated every year on June 21 as the World Music Day.
This special day June 21 has been celebrated as the World Music day in more than 700 cities in 120 countries. On this day, music lovers and musicians band together for free of cost in streets, parks, railway stations, bus depots, museums, schools and share their precious moments and shows the power of music by spreading joy and peace.
